October 2007 brought "Wildfire 2007" to San Diego County. With multiple fires burning throughout San Diego county, almost 950,000 people were evacuated from their homes, schools were closed and unfortunately thousands of homes were lost. One of these fires, named "The Witch Fire" burned through highly populated communities such as Poway, Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch, Escondido and Ramona. CDF is estimating that as of 10/31/07 over 197,000 acres have burned, including 1,121 homes, just from this one fire alone.

As our club is based at Pomerado Hospital, located in the city of Poway, many of our members were affected by this disaster, unfortunately some directly. Therefore the PHMOTT Wildfire Relief Fund was created. The purpose of this fund is to collect donations for those who have suffered a loss due to this horrific disaster in an effort to help them re-build. If you would like to donate, please send a check or money order made payable to PHMOTT Wildfire Relief Fund to PO Box 500484, San Diego, CA 92150-0484. As we are a non-profit organization, any donation is tax deductible and you will receive a tax donation receipt. Any amount would be most appreciated and we thank you in advance for your generosity.

To become a member of PHMOTT, you must be the parent or guardian of multiple birth children. Our club is non-denominational and non-profit. We welcome all families of multiple birth children. Dues are $30 per year payable in June. A three month trial membership is available.

Membership includes National and State dues, NOMOTC Notebook newsletter, all club activities and our monthly newsletter, Reflections, which is provided electronically.
Current club members live in the following areas: Escondido, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, Ramona, Scripps Ranch and Carmel Mountain.
